Petite Australian Odontopleura markhami Trilobite
Lichida, Family Odontopleuiridae
Time: Lower Silurian
Size: 9 mm
Cotton Hill Formation, Cotton Hill Quarry, Forbes, New South Wales, Australia
A very good quality specimen of this rare Australian trilobite.
This one retains the free cheeks, which are not commonly preserved
attached. A few of the spines on the right side of the thorax and
pygidium are missing. This specimen will have much better presence
when in hand, as it is difficult to photograph.
