Nanotyrannus lancensisDescription: Nanotyrannus ("tiny tyrant") is a genus of tyrannosaurid dinosaur, and is possibly a juvenile specimen of Tyrannosaurus. A 50% complete specimen of Nanotyrannus was discovered by a crew from the Burpee Museum of Natural History in Rockford, Illinois in 2001. It went on display under the name “Jane” in June of 2005 at the Burpee Museum, and is the most complete example of the taxon to be seen anywhere in the world:
