Description:
Elegant example of a member of the Order Phacopida, Subfamily Asteropyginae
with many fine details present. Notice the fine eye facets present
on this specimen. The Asteropyginae recently have undergone revision.
This one has been known variously as “Asteropyge” and
as “Kayserops” .The rich dark brown exoskeleton is
well-contrasted to the beige matrix block. This one has both the
genals and the pygidium prepared freestanding, making for an impressive
display specimen. |
