Description: The Green River Formation deposits of Wyoming, Colorado, and Utah are best known for their immaculately-preserved fish, but other examples are known as well, as this specimen attests. This fine piece displays a detailed spider, an uncommon Green River fossil. While spiders are not insects, they are so rarely seen as fossils that it is easier simply to post them with their prey.
