The Hell Creek Formation of South Dakota is a series of clays, mudstones and sandstones deposited by fluvial activity during the latest part of the Cretaceous period. Some 200 plant morphotypes have been found. Here is a very unique collection of four plant fossils, including three fruits (or seeds) – herbivorous dinosaur food so to speak. They are here unnamed and possibly undescribed.
