This piece clearly qualifies as a trophy with its sigular insect inclusion being one that is rarely seen, a Trchopteran, or Caddisfly. Resembling in appearance the also scarce moth (Lepidoptera), their legs and antennae are normally long and slender, and the larvae build underwater houses.The first Trichopterans, the Caddisflies, are believed to have appeared during the Lower Triassic, and are thus a relatively newer form of insect. The trophy Caddisfly measures 7 mm, a large size.
