Amber with Insects (Coleoptera; Homoptera; Trichoptera; Hemiptera; Hymenoptera; Diptera)This is one a truly remarkable amber specimen, with an enormous diversity of representatives of an ancient rainforest ecosystem. The insect inclusions of many, diverse and splendid. There are 18 Platypodid beetles (Coleopterans), two superb Planthoppers (Homopteran), large Caddis fly (Trichopteran), one particularly colorful beetle, several Hymenopterans, a strange Hemipteran, a larvae, some 25 Dipterans of various genera, and a really strange insect. More than 50 insects altogether, in a nicely colored piece measuring a huge 98 mm across at its widest point.
