While there are 10 insect inclusions (8 worker and 1 warrior termite, and 1 tenebrionid beetle) in this amber, they are of minimal consequence. What is consequential is the size at 253 grams, the dark golden color, and phenomenal clarity, but most of all how the specimen refracts light. While all amber will reflect and refract light, the incredible cross-hatched pattern shown in the pictures is the result of multiple curved surfaces, including one large and two small holes running through and through from top to bottom - these holes once contained limbs and stems that eventually rotted away. This specimen is beyond comparison in my considerable experience.

The fossil amber edifice has been very lovingly hand-polished.
