Comose seeds are distinguished by their tufts of hair, like those of the cotton plants, which allow for wide dispersal. A nice find for the specialist collector of Green River fossil flora.

The Green River Formation holds one of the world’s richest depositories of fossil leaves, plants, vines and aquatic vegetation. My provider alone shows over seventy species he collects.
