Description: A small and very well preserved collection of unidentified Fossil inflorescence specimens and other undetermined specimens from Central Nevada. Nevada has many fossil plant producing localities. They show that the state once had a much wetter and more temperate climate back in the Miocene. There were many more lakes in what is now the driest state in the USA. The Sierra uplift dramatically changed the climate and rainfall in the state. The specimens will be fully labeled.

Plant fossil 1: 45 mm on a 19 x 8 cm plate. A branching flower like undetermined specimen. Much more striking looking than my photos convey. Note the individual seeds present.
Plant fossil 2: 40 mm in length on a 9 x 7 cm plate.
Plant fossil 3: 10 mm on a 3 x 3cm plate.
Plant fossil 4: 5 mm on a 2.5 x 3 cm plate.
