Pennsylvania Llewellyn Formation Fossil Fern Collection

Description: Species include Alethopteris sp., and a very rare Holcospermum, which is a seed pod characterized by three (3) prominent longitudinal ribs. By association, they are likely from the seed fern Alethoptheris. A large single pinnule Neuropteris cf. scheuchzeri. These specimens were self-collected over the years on visits to my relatives in scenic New Jersey. They will come enclosed in the glass enclosed riker mount pictured.
