Sinoeugnathus Triassic Fish FossilDescription: Presented is a very rare specimen of an armored bony fish that was found in the same beds as the famed Keichosaurus swimming reptiles. This may be perhaps one of the last of these fish available for purchase on the internet. Like most Chinese fossils, there is a current prohibition on their export. I bought the last two available from a Chinese dealer at the Tucson 2009 Mineral and Fossil Showcase. He was selling off his residual fossil inventory and leaving the business.

This specimen is in good condition. It has exceptional preservation of the scales. The caudal, anal, pectoral and dorsal fins are all at least partially preserved. The head is in fair condition.
