Utaspis marjumensisDescription: Utaspis marjumensis are amongst the largest and most desirable of trilobites found in the Marjum Formation of the House Range, Utah. They are uncommonly available. This one is a large, fully mature adult with excellent preservation. It is fully inflated, 3D and well centered on the plate. The only flaw is a bit of disarticulation on the right and left hand sides of the thorax between the 4th and 5th segments. This has always been an uncommon trilobite genus. Now with new Federal regulations limiting the collection of fossils on BLM land, the availability of fossils like this will become much more infrequent. This one comes from an old collection.
