MetacanthinaDescription: Elegant example of a member of the Order Phacopida, Subfamily Asteropyginae with genal spines prepared freestanding along with the cephalic and pygidial doublure. A large example of this frequently sought-after species. Extensive preparation work goes into freestanding the pygidial spines, with the specimen well-centered on its limestone matrix.
