Pleuronodoceras AmmonitesDescription: This is a well-preserved example of an ammonite with a ceratititic suture pattern. The Ceratitida were widespread in the Triassic, and went extinct during the Permian, the age which saw the most widespread extinction of life in Earth’s history. It is the only the second such specimen I have been able to secure in 4 years.
