Description: This plaque of amber displays a wealth of insect inclusions not often found, particularly in the same specimen. A large Dipteran inclusion is a Snipe Fly (Family Rhagioniidae), a rare amber inclusion. There is an 8 mm planthopper, as well as the exuvium (she skin) of another. Since the exoskeleton of an insect is rigid, they must shed occasionally to accommodate growth. There is an Alate (flying termite with 6 mm wings), tow different types of beetles, and a fine bee. The Arachnida are represented by a pair of spiders with diverse morphology.
