Spiny Scabriscutellum Moroccan TrilobiteDescription: This trilobite is a member of the Order Corynexochida, Family Styginidae similar to Scabriscutellum furficerum. It is distinguished by lack of fringing pygidial spines from Thysanopeltis, and from Scutellum by the thin raised ribbing of the pygidium. It differs from the species furficerum by the presence of ocular and axial spines, not typically seen. For now let us just refer to it as Scabriscutellum affinis furficerum. Note the many fine eye facets present in both eyes.
